Breast biopsy system guided by Positron Emission Mammography allowing realtime 3D visualization of tumour lesion and needle insertion guidance for higher sampling accuracy and efficiency.

Project funded by the European Commission (7th Framework Program), with the aim of developing a device with the capacity for robotic biopsy and real-time reconstruction. A mobile PET system was designed, with the ability of providing images in real time and guide the robotic biopsy system. The project was led by ONCOVISION and had the participation of relevant collaborators such as the National Kancer Institute of Amsterdam, Pera Technology and the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia.
